Bubblegum Ice Cream

What you’ll Need:

2 cups cream
2 cups milk
2/3 cups sugar
70-100 grams of your favorite bubble gum (I used hubba bubba)
5 egg yolks

Make it:
  1. Warm the milk, cream and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Add the bubble gum pieces.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to steep for about an hour.
  4. Place a sieve over a large bowl. Strain the milk, removing the bubble gum.
  5. Return milk to pan and reheat until warm.
  6. Slowly pour the warm milk over the egg yolks, whisking constantly.
  7. Return mixture to pan and cook over medium heat until it thickens. The mixture should coat the back of a spoon.
  8. Strain the mixture through a sieve into a large bowl.
  9. Chill the mixture well.
  10. Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and turn it on.
